Until removal: Keep it as clean as possible with proper brushing and flossing. If it is sore or swollen salt water rinses may help- (teaspoon salt in glass of warm water) - 3 to 4 times per day.

Follow Instructions: Follow the preop instructions that were hopefully given to you.
If you are undergoing IV sedation or general anesthesia, do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours prior to surgery unless instructed otherwise.  Wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up and comfortable shoes,  have someone accompany you that can drive you home. Get a good night of rest the night before.

No: The 3rd molars or wisdom teeth are solidly rooted in bone. The only way you could swallow such a tooth is 1) if it was so periodontally involved that it fell out, or 2) you could swallow it as the dentist is extracting it.
