Lung densities: Will depend on where your live and if you have been around bat guano such as in caves.  And where your were born and raised. Discuss with Dr. who knows all of these things or will ask you about them.

Sometimes: Sometimes apices of lungs behind clavicles are not seen well. Apical lordotic view helpful to project clavicles above apices of lungs.

Treatment plan: If you have a positive TB test and a suspicious Chest Radiograph, a TB treatment plan will be recommended by your physician. It is important to take all of the medications as prescribed, and to follow up with your PCP. Cultures will be obtained to investigate whether there is resistance of the TB bacteria.

: Even minimal pulmonary (lung) tuberculosis ("Koch's infection") can be a great danger to people in your environment. But if "minimal" means no cavity (an open abscess in the lung), you are not coughing, and are taking your medications, probably you can safely be at work. But check with your doctor first -- or with public health authorities in your city, province or country. Good luck.

Not normal but possi: Some people may get pain for this long after open thoracotomy.  It usually comes from fractured ribs(usually for 6-12 months).  It can, however, come from a disrupted intercostal nerve, this can give rise to neuropathic pain.  It is best to see a pain specialist because this is a treatable condition.

It depends: on the extent of the fibrosis, the cause of the fibrosis, and your symptoms.  Fibrosis is essentially scarring and cannot be reversed.  Fibrosed lung does not exchange oxygen.  If mild, it may be due to an old inflammation/infection and require no treatment.  If ongoing or progressive, it could lead to  breathing difficulties, so you need to talk to your doc about what it means in your situation.

had an chest-pa last week for employment and their findings are; chest examination shows minimal reticular opacities in the right upper lobe..what does this mean?

: Those findings typically represent a scar of some type or inflammatory changes. In order to better diagnose these findings, a chest CT can be done. Is there any chance of a past tuberculosis infection? Pneumonia? What symptoms, if any, are you having? Do you smoke? You should see a lung doctor for evaluation and further testing to make a diagnosis. Good luck!

does etoh have any anticoagulation properties? i had asked this question earlier, which was answered very promptly, but did not directly answer the question.  i am taking warfarin for a 1.5 cm pe in the right upper lobe.  for a week, i stopped my warafrin

Yes, : Yes, alcohol does have an anticoagulation effect by making the platelets "less sticky" when consumed by itself.

I know you realize that what you are doing, stopping warfarin, is extremely risky.  Please re-check your inr and discuss these issues with your physician.
