: Epilepsy coming on in an older adult is often due to organic brain damage such as a stroke or a brain tumor. A neurologist is best to evaluate, test appropriately and properly treat your mother. I assume she has been tested for copper&amp; zinc toxicity. The recommended dose for copper is up to 3 mgs daily and for zinc, no more than30 mgs daily.

A few good choices: Congratulations on your goal of improving your lipid profile! there are a few diets that have been demonstrated to reduce cholesterol levels. I'll give you one: the dash diet: high in fruits and vegetables, and poultry as a meat choice. It lowers blood pressure too. And there are lots of good books on it. Also, exercise (30 min/day, 4x week or more) and modest wt loss will help triglycerides.

omega 3's from either fish oil or flax seed
be checked for diabetes
have your thyroid checked
if still >500 you may have a familial process that may still require drug therapy.

1teaspoon to4 tsf: Start with one teaspoon of rice cereal and add 4to5 teaspoon of formula or breast milk to it and feed the baby with a spoon.then gradually you can increase to 2 and then. 3 and 4 teaspoon as the baby gets the taste of it and follow it with formula or breast milk.
