: Sorry. You may be 90 or 95%, but 100%? Nah. On the other hand, compared to when you were 20, at age 52 you’ve already experienced significant decline. It’s called aging. Probably be even worse over next 30 years

Depends: It may heal up as quickly as 2 months.  If the injury was severe and you have a highly comminuted fracture then it may take many more months and possibly further surgery to get it to heal.

6 weeks: If it is an uncomplicated fracture of each and immobilised properly, they will take 6 weeks to heal. If they are complicated by being displaced, infected or affecting a joint surface it may take longer.

Choices: The doc suggesting pins/rods suggests poor position. Bones will heal by themselves naturally, but if they are not aligned well, then they will heal badly aligned. As an athlete you will probably get a better result and probably not need a 6 week cast with the rods/pins. We stich lacerations to facilitate healing and good alignment, but unstitched will heal. Is basically the same with bones..

3 days before: Should be fine. Not necessarily that the cast may be removed, but this way you will make sure fractures are healing well and another appointment can be set up just for cast removal. Usually there is imaging involved around this time to check for proper healing.

Rehab for fracture: Not normally while you are in a cast. Some pt can be helpful to provide instruction in mobility, transferring, and gait while in the cast. Almost all pt will occur after boney healing out of cast while returning to normal activity.

Yes: Just 'rodded ' a broken tibia today... Young men who have fractured tibias which are rodded and 'locked' w/ proximal and distal screws can weight bear fairly quickly, usually w/ in the first week( w/ crutches). Most times the tibia fractures heal in 2-3 months and young adults can return to sports usually @ 3-4 months w/ intramedullary rod in place.Check w/ your ors. Gl!

It depends.: Type of hardware use depends on type,  location and severity of the injury.

Skin infection?: It might have been given if you had a break in the skin with concern about skin infections.  Broken bones without breaks in the skin don't require antibiotics.

Wait Bearing: Once the bone callous is forming and the surgeon has removed the cast, (if there is one, )  you can start with non-weight bearing exercises. Weight -bearing hat may be sooner if you are younger -  and later if there is any problem with your balance/ coordination.
