i have this red patch on the left side of neck 2 inches under jaw line. does not itch, hurt or burn. weather has been humid. could it be heat rash?

Rash: Usually, heat rash looks like little bumps or pimples.  This could be a fungal infection - usually a red blotch that is scaly.  Or it could be impetigo, a patch that often has a honey colored crust.  Fungal skin infections are treated with topical antifungal creams like clotrimazole.  Impetigo, a staph skin infection is treated with antibiotics.

Breakout: keep the area clean, don't touch or "pop" the zits. think about what may have brought these on?  using the phone on the right, shaving, in grown hair, shirt collar?  Zits typically run their course in 4-5 days if they persist longer, spread or start oozing this could be a different type of skin infection and you will need to go see your doctor for some antibiotics.

my wife has these random sensitive areas to the touch on her body. best described sunburn w/o burn & redness. also lrg knot on rt side of neck?

Knot concerning: Someone clinical needs to look at knot and other problem. May be nothing but if you can't get in to see your primary care doctor, i would suggest going to urgent care center to have someone take a look at it.

what causes a red, warm, itchy to touch, circular spot on neck just below chin? it's symetrical with the previous one on the other side of neck.

Allergic rash possib: There are several possibilities, including an allergic reaction to an insect bite. If there is a raised scaly appearance, ringworm a type of fungal infection may be the cause. Each of these has a different treatment, so it is best to check with your doctor if it does not improve. Topical steroids may be used on an allergic skin rash. I hope that this helps.

i have a dime sized red mark on the side of neck. it's kind of raised along the edges. a little itchy. started like a pimple. been there for 2 weeks?

Possible ring worm: Your description sounds like ring worm or tinea corporis, but there are other causes that fit that description.  Ring worm responds quite nicely to OTC clotrimazole, applied twice a day for 3 weeks.  If there is no improvement in a week, I recommend that you have it evaluated by either your family doctor or a dermatologist.

my 9 year old has a lump on the back/side of neck. says it hurts about the size of a dime. not red doesn't feel like liquid. you can see it.what is it?

Shingles?: Sounds as if this may be shingles. A quick look at the nature of the rash and its distribution should allow most doctors to recognize this. Have your PCP take a look.

i woke up with an aching right side of neck, and a line of what looks like broken blood vessels/ pin print red/purple dots on my neck. should i get this checked out?

: Sounds like Shingles on the right side of the neck. Could also be one of a number of skin/vascular outbreaks. Yes, good idea to see PCP to check it out.

See doctor: Anytime one has problem using one's arm without any history of injury of trauma, it should be examined by a doctor  With the stiff neck, I am also concerned about meningitis. See your doctor ASAP.

: Lymph nodes with fatty hilum are benign. Do you have enlarged lymph nodes in other parts of the body as well?   There are various causes of itching without rash including hematological disorders. In view of this and ?unexplained bruises on legs, I recommend consulting a hematologist for evaluation and appropriate testing.
