72 years old lady had left shoulder pain and red spots (sort of rashes) on left arm as well. things are now sort of back to normal after 3 days what possibly could have caused it?

Accepted Answer

: Herpes zoster ( shingles) comes to mind but the chickenpox type eruption takes more time to resolve. If there are residual eruptions visible, a physician could make the diagnosis and recommend antiviral medication if deemed advisable.

i have this weird res rash spreading across my left shoulder. its red and raw but not itchy or painful at all. it feels really sensitive like i can actually touch my nerves on my shoulders. what could it be? what can i try to get it to heal?

Rash : There are several things that this can be and needs to be seen to evaluate it. If this is early in its progression the rash (less than 2 days) I suggest it can be herpes zoster.

9 yr old son with left shoulder aching for appx 2 weeks. no know. injury or swelling, redness, warmth. possible causes?

i have a bite of some kind on my left shoulder. it is not raised but does itch. i have had it for a few days. it feels like the redness is starting to spread towards the middle of my chest. should i be worried or go see a doctor?

Increasing redness:: After a bite, a little redness is normal, but if begins to spread over the next few days and does not get better with an allergy pill, it may mean that the bite has gotten infected, which may need treatment with antibiotics.  So yes, get checked and see, if it keeps getting worse, becomes painful, or you run a temp.

constant dull ache in left shoulder,armpit, bicep & infront of armpit. arm feels heavy and tired. no redness or swelling. on a blood thinner currently, is there risk of a dvt in my arm or am i more looking at muscular issue? ice,heat & hope for best?

: This kind of pain is usually a sign of a strained muscle, minor infections or skin condition. Getting  deep vein thrombosis is unlikely while you are on blood thinners. Rarely it can be a symptom of serious underlying condition, please see your doctor.

Shoulder: might be a pinched nerve in the neck vs bursitis in the shoulder. You'll need an exam by ortho doc.

about 2 months ago i tried waxing strips for my underarms. i had this blotchy rash behind my left shoulder and it's only there and is still there?

Need a photo.: I can't think of any way that waxing strips could cause a rash in an area that you did not wax. A photo would be helpful. Does the rash itch? You might try OTC hydrocortisone cream, and if that doesn't help, see a dermatologist and get a precise diagnosis.

Rashes in kids: Rashes in children can be caused by any number of things to include skin infection, allergy to something they touched, insect bite, a generalized infection like a virus, an underlying illness or a reason that cannot be pinpointed. A good resolution televisit or visit to the doctor can help with diagnosing and then selecting the best treatment.
