be careful, you might be very very contagious. There are some good antiviral medications. You should get checked out!

See dermatologist: If these issues have been present for more than 3 or 4 days and are not improving, you need to consult your doctor (preferably a dermatologist).  If you are getting better, you may wait a few more days and observe how things go. I am concerned over the neck pain  however.

Rash: Have your doctor look at the rash. If it looks like hives it may be you are allergic to a medication you were given. A fine red bumpy rash may be more in keeping with something you came in contact with. Seeing it would help sort this out. Good luck with this, always confusing.

Red bumps: The rash you are describing could be one of a number of things.  Non itchy, to mildly itchy rashes on the chest can be associated with viruses (which resolve on their own), or can be a form of a more chronic skin condition. How long: first question is how long has it been there, and did you put anything on your skin to cause the rash. The simple treatment for red non painful rashes that aren't oozing, is over the counter hydrocortisone. But if the rash isn't improving with the topical for a few weeks, or if at anytime you develop a fever or other systemic symptoms then you should see your dermatologist.

Many possibilities: Rashes can be hard to figure out without looking at them. A rash can happen sometimes if a person's body is reacting to the germ causing viral or bacterial symptoms (sort of like an allergic reaction). Strep throat bacteria can make a toxin that causes reddish rashes. Allergy to certain foods or other substances can create rashes. Little blisters can be viral, bacterial, or contact dermatitis.

Strong medication: Augmentin is a very strong medication. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, upset stomach and rash. Talk to your prescribing Dr. and have them take a look at the rash. Probably not enough to discontinue the med, but you want to be sure. Make sure you give the meds with food to minimize the digestive irritation. Watch for lip, eye and face swelling.
