i have a fear of laying flat or leaning backward in dental chair worried or will cause dizzy or vertigo i seem to get more lightheaded when i have to ?

Lying Down: Do you lie down when you sleep, or are you propped up with pillows? The dental chair reclines only so far, and it is less than lying down in bed. Your dentist needs access to visualize your teeth and that really can't be done while you are sitting up. Discuss your concerns with your provider.

i had braces taking off and now teeth have moved back. i wore retainer day and  night constantly.  is there a reason they moved back . thanks ?

Ortho relapse: When relapse happens even with retainer wear it's usually very easy to restraighten the teeth. Then a different type of retainer system should be used than was used first time around

i forgot to ask my orthodontist this, but basically for my bottom retainer, he put it on my teeth, then took it off and cut off the last molar at the back on the retainer. is there a reason for this? i completely forgot to ask why and im curious?

: Your orthodontist apparently felt that that acrylic was not needed, but this is only a guess. Please direct all your questions to your treating orthodontist.

Yes: You should see a healthcare professional ASAP( Dentist or oral surgeon). While it may not be related, a  dental abscess  could lead to life-threatening meningitis. This condition is an inflammation of the membranes near the spinal cord and brain. If bacterial infection is left untreated, it could move to the bloodstream and spread to the spinal cord and around the brain

are these signs my wisdom teeth are coming in? i have pain in my jaw that at times goes up to my ear and it feels like there is something coming up in the back of my jaw. the only reason i ask is because it is causing pain.

Have your jaw radiographed by an oral surgeon to determine where exactly your teeth are and if they are impacted. They may have to be extracted if they are bothering you that much.

Night guard.: Night guards fabricated and adjusted by your dentist to fit your mouth exactly area your best option. Soft night guards don't tend to protect your teeth as well.

Anxiety: So sorry that your daughter has had negative experiences.  Would be advisable that she see a mental health professional who can help her overcome her anxiety.  As she is in the need of immediate dental health care, however, seek treatment with a Dentist who provides treatment under general anesthesia or under sedation.

Medical: Care is for most, something that they will be involved with intermittently throughout their life. If your fear impedes function then it would be in your best interest to seek mental health care. Consider seeing a clinical psychologist for cognitive behavioral therapy or exposure therapy. Take care.

is there a legitimate reason for dental offices to insist on x-rays every six months?

Health of mouth: The frequency of x-rays is determined by your history of dental restorations, the amount of decay you have, your medical history, your diet, your home care, the amount of plaque and bleeding.  Some patients with high risk of decay do need radiographs every 6 months and some patients can go 12 to 18 months.
Talk to your dentist and discuss this recommendation for x-rays.

fear of my throat closing for no apparent reason. is that possible?

ANXIETY: Sounds like anxiety. So are you asking if aanxiety gives this sensation or if your throat will actually close up?
Your throat should not close up unless you have  another illness like swollen glands or tonsils. The sensation of throat closing is called "globus hystericus", very apropos! you ought to speak to a physician and get an exam done and then get tratment for anxiety either therapy or both.
