: It depends on the cause of food poisoning. Preformed staphylococcal cause diarrhea and vomiting without causing fever. Dehydration resulting from fluid loss can result in fever. Infection with live shigella and salmonella bacteria also cause food poisoning that is usually accompanied by fever.

Discuss first:     Avoid pepto unless your doctor thinks that is absolutely necessary. You said 'not fully diarrhea'. There's a thing called the  gastrocolic reflex, so when you eat if there's any stool in thecolon there's at least an urge to go. It's a normal thing, don't get excited about that. Also, whenever you have some clinically interesting going oneith your child, call your GP to discuss, won't hurt ?
