The body is not built to withstand abuse from smoking at any age, but effects on growing children are even more worrisome. Long-time smokers can develop many leg problems, including vein thrombosis (clot), neuropathy or "poor circulation". It is best  to see a physician asap for diagnosis, treatment.

Compression hose: Sounds like venous stasis dermatitis, an inflammatory condition of the skin caused by varicose veins or swelling. Needs compression and might also do well with a water pill from your primary doctor.

Not if worse: Everyone has veins visible in their feets.  They are usually light blue and may have a bit of texture to them.  If you notice yours are getting purple, worse or there is skin discoloration (darkening, in particular) this may be an issue.  See a vein specialist (phlebologist).
