i have a pulse in my left leg by my knee. it's on upper inside part of one. i've had three surgeries on this knee. what is making this happen?

Normal pulse: This may be your normal popliteal pulse, as the area you are describing is the area where the popliteal area courses through.  See if you can feel the same pulse behind the other knee.
However, if you have had a recent surgery and notice pain, swelling, or redness associated with this then you should see a physician.

my daughter 15, has suspected pots, ive noticed recently when she tells me or i notice her symptoms of her breathing fast or her pulse is fast our family dog puts his head on her leg just above the knee, does this mean he can sense it or coincidence?

: There really is no way to know if the dog is doing that because he senses a problem or he is just doing it to show his affection. Does he only do this when she is having an issue or does he do it at other times, when there is no issue? If he does it at other times, it is more likely to be a show of affection. Good luck!

throbbing/ pulsing sensation  in my left leg above the knee towards my inner thigh whilst sitting, lying down.  i can feel the movement with my hand?

Pulsation: You may be feeling muscle twitching or an artery pulsating. The artery would pulsate regularly while the muscle twitches erratically. My guess is that it's an irritable superficial nerve or muscle  causing the  muscle fibers to twitch. Apparently this a localized phenomenon which doesn't appear to be a serious problem. Generalized twitching can be caused by calcium or magnesium deficiency. See MD

Could be  muscular: Since the pain is in the extremities  the ct might not find the cause. The leg  ultrasound helps eliminate blood  clots. A rheumatologist  will help guide you through the diagnostic considerations. This would include  muscle, joint, vascular, neuropathic or even metabolic. Laboratory and maybe  more imaging  may be in order.

what part?: You have an artery that runs behind the knee (the popliteal artery) and if you extend your leg and palpate carefully, you can feel it, but if it's easy to feel, you should get an ultrasound test done to rule out an aneurysm.

Don't know: Really hard to say without more information or examining you.  Are you getting enough sleep, is the first question.  Have you been exercising heavily, or conversely, not enough?  Do you take any medications that could affect your potassium level, like a diuretic? Try some gentle stretching of you leg muscles, get a good night's rest, and if it persists go see your doctor.

Knee : Sensation from popliteal artery can be felt as a pulsing sensation in a small percentage of normal people . It could   be associated with abnormalities of popliteal blood vessels, in bakery's cyst  due to  synovial fluid  in back of the knee to name a few . Get it followed with your doctor.
