Possibly: You may screen positive for amphetamines. This is a false positive test. Confirmation testing by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry helps show that its pseudoephedrine and not amphetamines.

No, not safe: Both of those medicines have similar ingredients, so they should not be taken together.  2 year olds should not take multi-symptom cold medicines.  Ask your doctor what is safe for children under 6.

I wouldn't: The basic fact is you double the risk of complicated side effects when you mix these drugs. Most studies show they do little more than give you something to do while their issue passes.

: You almost certainly have a virus and antibiotics do not help .  Discuss with your Dr there.  I tell my patients this make 14 days to get better but others will take only 2 weeks. Time will tell.

Ear infection: The doxy may have helped if you had a bacterial infection involving your chest, but it not a very good antibiotic for an ear infection if that is what you have.  You need to have a doctor look at your ear and decide if you need another antibiotic.

Depends: on what you want exercise to accomplish.  By age 21 the amount of scoliosis you have will not change.  Exercise will not 'straighten' you spine but has many other benefits.  Take care.

Be seen: That degree of mild spinal curvature can not cause difficulty breathing; do, if you are having trouble breathing you should be seen immediately and it is likely from another source.

Scoliosis and pain: Scoliosis puts stress on the other support mechanisms of the spine, such as the muscles, ligaments, joints, etcetera. This can lead to pain.

Accepted Answer

: If you are not having back problems these are not significant. Scoliosis is a twisting of the spine and a mild amount is common. L5-S1 is the lowest portion of the spine and compression of the nerves in that region is unlikely with only mild degeneration.

why recommend epidural steroid injections when patient with multilevel degenerative disk disease accompanied with lumbar dextro scoliosis?

Accepted Answer

Pain relief: Epidural steroid injections are recommended to relieve pain from nerve impingement.   They are often recommended before surgery.  The injections obviously don't improve the alignment of the spine.
