Provigil: Provigil is used to treat excessive daytime sleepiness and works for about 12 hours. So you would take it usually when you get up each day. It is unlikely to significantly raise your blood pressure; quite rarely it could raise it a little and your blood pressure meds may be adjusted.

Not a stimulant.: Used to treat early Parkingson's disease. It has no other valid use in clinical medicine. If you are not anemic and your thyroid and adrenal glands are O.K. try cold showers. In my view attention deficit is over diagnosed and over treated. Depression often mistaken for attention deficit.

The fda has approved its use in nacrolepsy, adjunctive treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness associated with obstructive sleep apnea, and shift-work sleep disorder. Off-label, it's used for adhd and adjectively for depression.
