can a prolapsed bladder or uterus cause bleeding after intercourse?

Maybe, maybe not: A prolapsed bladder or uterus that is partly falling through a weak spot into the vagina probably is going to increase the friction during sex. The bladder or uterus is likely to be bounced around during sex. Maybe there will be a little bleeding after intercourse. However, such bleeding should first be evaluated by a doctor to be sure other causes are not responsible, such as a cancerous growth.

: It is highly unlikely that bladder is prolapsed. A prolapsed uterus is not an emergency, and you should contact your doctor for an evaluation.

Call surgeon now!: Please call your surgeon now!  A pad an hour of bleeding is not from an "exam."  If you are still bleeding a pad an hour and cannot reach your surgeon, go back to the ER.  I would insist on a surgical consult in the ER if the ER doc does not give you a satisfactory explanation or do appropriate lab work or other studies.

i have a prolapse of the uterus , about 25 years ago, i had two ops done . about two week ago a had some pelvic pain and noticed the uterus come more down , also some bleeding, also noticed something like small lumps on the uterus. ?

The lumps could be-: -fibroids. But there have been complications using mesh for repairs yrs ago. You need to see a GYN. Also try to get your old operative reports so your GYN knows if mesh was used &amp; which type.

Uterine prolapse: There are several methods of treatment. It depends on whether you wish more children. These include a pessary to hold things in place, or surgery.Surgery can be a "sling" operation, or a vaginal hysterecvtomy and bladder repair. Depending on your circumstances, i think the latter would be the most effective.

after a colonoscopy,had vag & rectum bleeding. ct scan says my uterus is displaced towards the right of the bowel. everyday i'm in pain. the gynae says i'm not in prolapse & no treatment. so why am i in so much discomfort below my navel? what scan?

Sometimes: If the bladder prolapse is making it difficult to empty your bladder then that can lead to urinary tract infections.  A visit to your doctor to check how much urine is in your bladder after you void is a quick test to see if that is the cause of your infections.
