: By spasms,  I assume you're referring to recurrent chest pains rather than palpitations. While your spasms are not typical for coronary artery disease,I recommend that you be examined by a physician or cardiologist who will also order an EKG.  A treadmill stress test, outpatient cardiac monitoring &amp; chest X-Ray may also be recommended for evaluation,but I doubt you have cardiac or pulmonary issues

intense, stabbing pain, bottom of my rib cage over a 4 hour period, almost feels like really bad heartburn. went away, now coming back w spasming feel?

See your doctor: Pain at the bottom of your ribs can be from many sources, and certainly, heartburn can be one.  However, gallbladder disease and other intestinal problems which often feel like spasms.  However, that location can also reflect cardiac pain.  Although you're a 30 year old female and that's unlikely, it would be wise to see your doctor in person to explore causes.  Especially it's hard to breathe.

im having a weird dull spasming on my left side udder my rib cage its really uncomfortable and seems to help a little by standing up. and gas?

Muscle spasm?: Could be gas, but I have also seen many complaints like this over the years that were due to muscle spasm. Commonly described as pain and a lump that goes down with self massage. Sounds like a hernia, but there are no hernias in this location not associated with a prior operation. Try anti-gas over the counter meds first and see if they help. See your doc if no help. Hope this helps!

i have some spasming between what i think is my 5th and 6th rib. its not painful, but should i see a doctor? it's below my right breast.

multiple hnp in thoracic and lumbar spine, causing severe spasticity in flanks/ribs. anyway to prevent or learn them? ortho and pcp were of no help.

Second opinion: I would assume that you have had an MRI. It seems no physicians are helping you. Get a second orthopedic opinion and clarify what YOU mean by spasticity. You symptoms cannot be diagnosed online- sorry!

so this happens randomly . feels like a kick in the chest it takes my breath . feels like my heart is trying to stop. literally makes me gasp for air . some times its just one or 3 in a row kinda feels like my heart is spasming.what is it?

: These may be premature heart beats ( extrasystoles) causing palpitations. They don't cause pain but can produce those symptoms you're experiencing. Wearing a heart monitor for 48 hours or longer will demonstrate extrasystoles&amp;determine the type,their frequency,significance&amp; whether they coincide with your symptoms as you'll note on the diary when you experience symptoms. MD can order one for you

i have a severe back and chest pain that comes and goes. it feels like my lungs are being squashed by my ribcage and my back is spasming. i have a burning sensation in my oesophagus as well. this morning vomit with looks like blood pieces?

burning, c/p  blood: Could be severe GERD /gastritis with or without H pylori. Famotadine may help as would omeprazole ( you CAN  take both) The specks of blood are from gastritis. You will need to go to a doctor to be tested for H pylori which is treated with antibiotics. Or may be gallbladder ( less likely to have blood) May also rarely be clot in lungs with severe back/ chest pain. F/U today w/ ER/ urgent care/MD.

i can no longer swallow with out severe spasms in my upper chest. chest is also spasming a lot. had 37cm hiatus a hernia 3 years ago. what do i do?

Get evaluated: Despite previous repair, your hiatal hernia may be back with symptoms. A CXR, EGD, exam with your regular doc will help determine what is going on. Get evaluated more urgently if fever, coughing blood, or pain. Be well.

Good idea: Especially if you are feeling cardiac symptoms, you definitely should go back and be seen for further evaluation.

i had a hemorrhagic brain stem stroke approx 12 months ago. recently spasticity has set in my right arm, leg, chest, throat & face. what can i do to relieve the throat& facial spasticity which covers my entire face, both sides of my neck & my throat?

: Contact your neurologist and discuss use of BOTOX for upper extremity spasticity.  There are also medications which may help, if side effects are not too intense.
