These may be premature heart beats ( extrasystoles) causing palpitations. They don't cause pain but can produce those symptoms you're experiencing. Wearing a heart monitor for 48 hours or longer will demonstrate extrasystoles&determine the type,their frequency,significance& whether they coincide with your symptoms as you'll note on the diary when you experience symptoms.
