Several: Aspirin, ibuprofen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents can be a good start in managing lupus pain and inflammation.  Menthol-based creams applied to the skin over sore joints may prove helpful.  Lupus is a rough disease, and i always remind the medical students that patients feel far worse than they appear, and are misunderstood.  Good luck.

Perhaps: Ultrashape is an emerging treatment that used focused ultrasound to melt fat cells. Ultra shape has not been approved by the fda yet and thus is not available in the us. So, although it has promise there is no one with significant experience in the us. However, other effective non-invasive technologies for fat cell elimination that are fda-approved include liposonix and coolsculpting.

i had liposuction all over my body 3 years ago, would it be safe and effective to have it done again to contour the body further?

Possibly: If there's still some pockets of residual fat, then secondary liposuction (or perhaps coolsculpting) could be used to further shape your contours.  However, if it's really just some zones of loose skin, then lipo would not help with that.  Best to see your local plastic surgeon to discuss the options.

A health life style: no alcohol, no tobacco, no junk food. 6 servings of  fresh vegetables, at least one apple, spread out through the day with high quality protein and good fats in 6 equal meals, frequent brief exericses through the day that increase blood flow to the brain and skin, 7-8 hours of sleep, and managing stress skilfully to promote happiness.

Irregular: A healthy meniscus will have relatively sharp borders.  A lobular shape is irregular and suggests the possibility of a tear or degeneration.  Discuss the specifics of your case with your doctor.

Not well: I use to perform these but no longer employ them other than for rare circumstances where patients are not surgical candidates and require mild short term correction.
