: Bilateral salpingectomy as a contraceptive method is virtually 100% effective, conception will not happen so there should be no pregnancy, normal or ectopic. However, there are extremely rare case reports of ectopic pregnancy after bilateral salpingectomy.

Probably not: The chance of pregnancy after salpingectomy is extremely low and near impossible.  It is much more likely that late menses in this case is caused by hormonal fluctuations.  Consider making an appt with an obgyn if no menses after another week

Partial tube removal: Removing a part of the Fallopian tube( partial salpingectomy) and tying off each end will eliminate the ability of the sperm and egg to meet in that particular tube.

: Yes, due to bilateral salpingectomy, chances are negligible.Pull out method by itself is not safe if trying to avoid pregnancy and STD prevention is still recommended by using condoms.

: The best Dr to ask this question would be the Drs who did your surgery.  They can give you their failure rate in women like you. Likely very low but not zero. Discuss with your own Drs.

Bilaterality: The fallopian tubes, indicated by the term salpingectomy, are bilateral structures and the other side is still hooked up to an ovary, which sent an egg down to the uterus, then it was conceived. If there ovary were removed it would be called a salpingooophorectomy. Congratulations. I suggest you discuss other methods with your OB/GYN.

i had a bilateral salpingectomy 5/6 months ago right after the birth of my son. period 3 weeks pp, and was regular after with each cycle being 28 days. i missed this cycle. about 12 days late. should i be concerned of pregnancy?

: If the tubes are gone there is no way sperm can get to an egg and nowhere for an egg to be joined (conception). Some normal women skip a cycle occasionally. A simple urine pregnancy test would be positive if the delay was from pregnancy.

: There are no hard and fast rules on timing here, but it depends mostly on what approach the surgeon took to perform the procedure. You should ask that surgeon when you can resume sexual activity. Good luck.
