A member asked:

I had a bilateral salpingectomy 5/6 months ago right after the birth of my son. period 3 weeks pp, and was regular after with each cycle being 28 days. i missed this cycle. about 12 days late. should i be concerned of pregnancy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the tubes are gone there is no way sperm can get to an egg and nowhere for an egg to be joined (conception). Some normal women skip a cycle occasionally. A simple urine pregnancy test would be positive if the delay was from pregnancy.
