Too complicated: It is too complicated to answer your question adequately in this forum. If you feel you're not getting adequate treatment from your physician, find a new one. Prednisone is obviously a drug to be avoided if possible particularly for bone mineral density reasons and many others. This incredibly complicated disease and drug regimen needs to be managed by someone you trust! I hope you feel better

Don't do ...: if not absolutely necessary.  PrimoultN is a progestin. I could not find any worrisome interactions between this medication and the ones you list. However, both Celebrex (celecoxib) and prednisone (a cortisone drug) might unfavorably affect the blood clotting system; progestins like PrimoultN might promote this. With taking these 4 significant meds, I would avoid anything not absolutely necessary. Best wishes

: Prednisone can reduce inflammation of the TMJ and of an ear canal afflicted with eczema. Apart from that I see no effect of reducing inflammation of other ear structures unless you're treating acute ear drum inflammation/infection causing actual earache

Need to know what: We need to know what  type of joint pain. To some this will be counter intuitive as prednisone can help some types of joint pain. We need to know  what type of health problem you are  are taking prednisone for. Is the pain you have  joint, or muscle? What other medical issues  do you have?

Not really: If pain is a major source of your anxiety or depression then it would be treating that in a way.  But celebrex (celecoxib) is only an anti-inflammatory.

Yes: The typical inflammation in sytemic lupus erythematosis may not elevate these acute phase reactants. That being said, Prednisone is an energizer and can improve many types of discomfort or pain. There are other tests more valuable than ESR and crp.

i have been taking prednisone for 3 years now due to inflammation of my eye nerves. without it, my eye sight is very blurry. what can i use to get off?

May be options: "Steroid sparing" immunomodulatory drugs exist and should be substituted for prednisone whenever possible.  Discuss with your eye doctor or neurologist.  The alternative medications have many potential side effects as well, but I am surprised you haven't been presented with options before. i've got stills im 23, my joints r swollen i've been on prednisone high doses for months, i've had cort. shots in knees, n ntfs don't work, what will help?

Other Rx: Even though tnfs did not help, there are other biologic agents which have shown good results. One drug is Kineret (anakinra) which works on il-1 ( interleukin-1) instead of tumor necrosis factor (tnf). Be sure to let your rheumatologist know that you are still in pain and that you cannot taper off the steroids.
