Calf pain: Blood clots are generally not in both legs simultaneously, especially without symptoms such as described.  Pain in lower legs is probably muscular only, and may be due to sudden resumed activity after childbirth.  See your healthcare provider if this persists.

Swelling and ?pain: A DVT in the calf presents with unilateral fullness or swelling, with some mild discomfort or pain. However, DVT can be silent, with very vague and mild discomfort. DVT in pelvic veins may have almost no symptoms. A high index of suspicion in patients at risk is necessary. Venous doppler studies, a painless sound wave test, can clear or verify the diagnosis. DVT: DVT involves veins which carry blood from the legs.  Arteries carry blood to the legs, so DVT cannot cut off circulation to the legs. It does impair drainage from the leg, hence swelling.  It won't completely block venous drainage from the leg due to collateral channels and superficial veins trying to compensate.

: It can be, but most DVT are associated with swelling. THere are other reasons for a warm sensation in the leg . Like varicose veins, skin conditions and nerve problmes.

DVT and PPS: The symptoms of DVT and post phlebitic syndrome are very different. Dvt usually presents as leg swelling and frequently thigh or calf pain depending on the location of the clot. Sometimes the leg may be tense and red.  This is usually an acute process.  PPS is a chronic condition and usually occurs within one to 2 years following a DVT. PPS presents as ankle swelling and brownish  discoloration.
