Symptoms: Am not sure what the actual question is. Congestion – saline nose drops or netti pot. For anti-inflammatory effect &amp; mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.  Hydrate- lots of water/clear broth/ add honey &amp; a small amt. of lemon juice to Chamomile tea. Fever/ pain – acetaminophen / NSAID’s  Rest!!

Yes you can: unless you have a contraindication, like hypertension, but no interaction with amoxicillin, rest and fluids are important too together with saline nasal washes, would help you out, if no improvement, call or visit your doctor

The Drixine Is Bad: Nasal decongestants help congestion but at a price... they wear off and you end up stuffier than ever.

Check with an ENT physician to rule out deviated septum’s, allergies, sinusitis, nasal polyps, etc etc.

Nasal congestion : Your symptoms are consistent with an upper respiratory infection which could be viral or bacterial. You did not note how long you have had symptoms. If over 7-10!days would recommend seeing an ENT specialist to see if you need antibiotics.. also would check your pulse , not sure if the palpitations are from medicine you are taking or your illness.

Itching /congestion: With the itching could be seasonal allergies would consider Benadryl 1/2 to 1 tab at bedtime and Zyrtec during the day . Itching  is pretty specific for allergies.  If worsens  or develops fever would seek medical attention for sinusitis versus viral  infection including coronavirus these days   but as stated itching  is pretty diagnostic of allergies.

Treating Viral Sinus: Viral sinusitis is self limited. Usually resolves within ten days. Try some Mucinex twice daily, humidifier in bedroom, lots and lots of fluids, lozenges(Ricola, Halls) for the sore throat.  If not resolved after 10 days this may indicate the sinusitis is bacterial and necessitates antibiotic therapy.

Like stuff in throat: It feels like secretion in the throat prompting a need to swallow more, clear the throat, cough, and a feeling like there is something in the throat.  The drip is either from the nose/sinuses or coming up from gastric reflux even if there is no heartburn.

Post nasal drip: Depends on the cause.  It could be allergies.  It could be infection.  It could be casino tie rhinitis.  It could even bd reflux.  Treatment would obviously be appropriately rendered based on diagnosis.

Question?: I’m not sure what your question is here, but post nasal drip can be due to allergies or infection.  Often, a nasal steroid like Flonase, a netti pot and an antihistamine like cetirizine can be helpful.  Good luck!
