9/11 found solid mass 2.5 cm. ovary. 2/13 now it's 4.8 solid two part mass.  dr stated if under 5 cm they do not worry. i am 52 post menopause. ?

See below.: While there are size criteria for surgery, it's not the only one. If the cyst looks suspicious and/or labs are abnormal (ca 125) surgery may be considered. Please talk to your doctor or obtain a second opinion.

i'm 50, post-menopause, both ovaries removed, no hrt, and my dhea is 476. i have hair loss, oily skin, acne. is my dhea high? is this an adrenal issue

Common sx: Typical hot flashes but not reliable can be supported by hormone levels fsh, lh.

: Not at all. You only need one ovary to produce adequate hormones, so having two with one just a little smaller will serve you just fine. Remember, those measurements are a 2D measurement of a 3D object, so if a little rotated during the testing, that alone could explain a little difference in size. Not to worry...

Possibly: Often women with one ovary will start developing menopausal symptoms such as vaginal dryness and hot flushes. But cessation of menstrual cycles usually isn't effected as much.

Unlikely: Many women still produce enough estrogen with only one ovary.

Menopause the same: Your life with one functioning ovary is mostly the same as having two.  At age 48, it is appropriate for you to begin menopause.  The symptoms of menopause are very variable, and the presence of only one ovary will probably not change that.

54 yof, been in menopause for 6 years. i have a 5 mm possible hemorrhagic cyst. in right ovary. does this happen in menopause? dr wants to rescan in 2 months. im terrified.  im brca -  but my cousins are brca + ive lost one cousin to ov ca.

See below: A 5 mm cyst is not a cause for concern. It would be okay to follow your doctor's advice.
