A member asked:

I am 48 and only have one ovary. will i have the same menopause symptoms as women with two? i am starting to show signs now of perimenopause.

Menopause the same: Your life with one functioning ovary is mostly the same as having two. At age 48, it is appropriate for you to begin menopause. The symptoms of menopause are very variable, and the presence of only one ovary will probably not change that.
