Feedback system: A positive feedback loop occurs when the response causes the original stimulus to enhance.
Most feedback systems are negative, because typically the system exists to maintain homeostasis, like a theromostat. The classic example of a positive feedback system is oxytocin during labor. 
Oxy--&gt;increase contraction which causes more Oxy secretion--&gt;increase contraction and more Oxy --&gt;etc until birth.

Pressure and density: Bone tissue is constantly changing.  As pressure changes (weight bearing and exercise) the  bone  will change density to accommodate it.  Lack of weight bearing will cause the bone to "thin out"

NO 5% permethrin: Scabies is treated with a topical scabicide such as 5% permethrin.  It is applied over the entire body from the chin to the toes and left on for 8 to 14 hours before washing off.  The treatment is repeated 1 week later.  After your first Permethrin treatment is completed you can try some calamine lotion and some solarcaine for symptomatic relief. Epsom salts will do nothing.

i abused kratom the last couple years. now high liver enzymes. ultrasound didn't show anything, given ct scan w/contrast. best and positive outcomes? feedback please. ( advice ) i know you can't diagnose. also horrible diet?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it would have helped had you provided the actual results. You may repeat the tests in 6 months, no alcohol or street drugs.

: Further tests need to be done by the rheumatologist even when he (she) has the results of pending tests. Please patiently wait for the appointment and further work up.

While ACTH: Can stimulate dhea production, the exact mechanism of dhea regulation is unknown. Beware of junk you read on the internet re: dhea and it's significance in medical disease or use as a therapy. It is metabolized to estrogen, testosterone or cortisone -- and you can't control which it's converted into. Stay away from dhea supplements, most don't have much active ingredient anyway.
