Possible: This condition is associated from low estrogen or a treated urethra caruncle therefore occurs commonly in post menopausal woman.Since Anastrozole blocks estrogen this could play a role.

POLYPS: By definition they are benign or at worst pre-cancer. A polypoid form of urothelial cell cancer would be what it is called if it were not benign. There are a few rare other types of cancers of the urethra.

: The ultrasound report identifies a mass consistent with either a fibroid tumor or a polyp  (benign "neoplasms") which may be the reason the ultrasound was ordered, as both may cause bleeding between menstrual events.  See your GYN physician who ordered the ultrasound for guidance.  "Free fluid" in the abdominal cavity is a frequent and essentially normal finding.

i had a ct scan with contrast done recently on my abdomen and pelvis. the abdominal wall was unremarkable and no distended bowel loops on the gi tract section of the report. would this ct show abnormalities if there were polyps in the gi tract?

: Polyps in the GI tract typically do not show on a CT of the abdomen. These polys are diagnosed with a colonoscopy that a GI doctor would perform. So, if you are concerned about polyps, see a GI doctor and get a colonoscopy. Good luck to you!

You : You haven't indicated what symptoms lead to the ultrasound, but i'm guessing it was abnormal bleeding.  That's a common complication of endometrial polyps, which are benign growths on the lining of the uterus.  They are usually addressed by removal though the vagina.

Uterine fibroids are benign tumors of uterine muscle that can cause bleeding, pain, or pelvic/abdominal fullness.  The fact that one of them has calcium in it means that it's started to regress spontaneously.  Treatment of fibroids depends on a lot of things, including the severity of symptoms, patient age, and plans for future fertility.  Treatment can range from waiting for menopause to doing a hysterectomy.

The polyp may be causing you some bleeding and the fibroids may be causing you some discomfort, but t good news is that the findings suggested by the ultrasound are benign.

D&amp;C/hysteroscopy: Polyps can be seen via a hysteroscopy, and a D&amp;C can certainly remove some. In doing the D&amp;C, sometimes the polyp is not removed (after the hysteroscopy is finished, the D&amp;C is essentially a blind procedure).  If you continue to have bleeding , you may need another attempt at polyp removal.

It does happen: Polyps do occur in many folks but most people are not checked for them until older years(recommended age for colonoscopy being 50 years). But as long as the polyps are removed, you should be safe. But why did you have colonoscopy in the first place? 
Your doctor will likely ask you to have repeat colonoscopy in future sometime in the next 3- to 5 years just to be sure that new ones do not develop.
