E.coli PNA: ciprofloxacin or Levaquin usually works well . also Ceftriaxone IV or Ceftin (cefuroxime) oral works as well.
we need to test the E.coli and find out what is the best ABx for it as we have some resistant patterns.

HIV AIDS: That is a very low T-cell count. But if he had no serious intercurrent infections it seems likely that he could be treated effectively in this day and age. Tremendous advances in care and management of HIV, but AIDS still carries risk for mordidity and mortaility. So it may depend on the pneumonia that you mentioned and how severe etc.

See an id consultant: You have an infection  that  is more common in pts who take  multiple antibiotics. You need to see an infectious  disease specialist for proper management. You may also need a further evaluation of your gu tract by urology. This is a serious problem related to excessive antibiotic use.

An option: If you have been on Alpha blockers like flomax, (tamsulosin) and 5 Alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride, and still got a uti, surgery most likely is indicated. Also your doctor may feel that the infection is from prostate infection and that surgery is indicated to remove infected tissue.

Still not well known: This is a newly recognized entity, so  there is not much known about it. It is likely a precursor of chronic lymphocytic leukemia(cll) which as you know can stay in this stable indolent phase for many years. That is what you need to hope for. Unless it progresses, you do not need to worry about it for  a long time.
