Could be: Most common explanation would be nerve compression at wrist, but could also be due to alternative location, even elbow.  The wrist brace may help, but if problem worsens, or additional issues arise, see your doctor and get this checked out.

Could be: You seem to describe symptoms consistent with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.  Generally the tingling and pain is more in the thumb, index, and middle fingers.  Sometimes you can tap on the underside of your wrist and reproduce the tingling sensations.  It is best to see a hand surgeon to diagnose this and to prevent any long term damage or weakness if it is carpal tunnel syndrome.

Both: You should inform your doctors- especially the neurosurgeon as you just had a cranioplasty. However, i would encourage you to inform your gp and see what the gp has to say.

Doctor can evaluate: One's primary care doctor can examine the area to see if there is a problem with the wrist. The doctor may refer to a hand surgeon, physiatrist (physical medicine &amp; rehabilitation), occupational medicine doctor, or a neurologist, to check for bone, joint, or nerve problems... such as with symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Physical therapy may be needed, depending on what the doctors find.

Possibly CTS: Is possibly might have carpal tunnel syndrome ( CTS ) . CTS may cause a pins and needles sensation typically in the first 3 fingers of your hands. In addition, CTS may also be associated with the backward (retrograde) conduction of pain up the arm. An unusual sign is the blue coloration. There is another condition called thoracic outlet syndrome that can result in such signs. See an Orthopedic MD!

A common site for this symptom is in the tips of the thumb and the first three fingers, when this occurs it suggests compression of the median nerve, or carpal tunnel syndrome. : When you try do it yourself treatments, not professional treatments, than many times dangerous side effects can result. In your case  , possible nerve damage could have resulted. See your doctor for an exam and possible referral to a nerve specialist.
