I lifted something really heavy yesterday, had pins and needles in my wrist today. bought a wrist brace for carpel tunnel. am i responding correctly?

Could be: Most common explanation would be nerve compression at wrist, but could also be due to alternative location, even elbow. The wrist brace may help, but if problem worsens, or additional issues arise, see your doctor and get this checked out.

Not sure: You may have pinched a nerve in yor neck causing the symtoms. If not resolved in a few weeks you may want to get it checked out. Wearing the splint won't hurt but also may not help.
