i've been experiencing a cold, especially morning hours but recently my headaches have been nonstop plus i remove pink phlegm accompanied by some throat thus swallowing food is painful i get fevers & sudden chest &back pains, what could be the issue?

Doctor can evaluate: New throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or mild flu (antibiotics are not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away in a day or two (mainly to check for strep throat). Doctor can also check for chest and back pain reasons.

i use an e cig regularly. the past few mornings, i have spat up pink phlegm, and just now i spat up phlegm with some blood in it. should i worry?

Bloody sputum: It sounds like you should see your doctor.  Sometimes what seems to be blood from your chest could actually be blood from your nose, but I wouldn't take a chance.  I think you should schedule an appointment.

is it normal to have phlegm almost every morning?

No but it's common!: Some things are so common that it is almost normal.Phlegm in the morning is one of those things. Anyone with allergies probably wakes up with some phlegm almost every morning depending on what they are allergic to.  If you are producing a LOT of phlegm, you might want to consider getting an allergy consult to try and determine what you are allergic to. Taking an antihistamine at night may help too

Allergies/postnasal : postnasal drop causing morning phlegm is very common in people with allergies. However, mouth breathers at night and a recent cold may also contribute. Clean your house vents. And, have your doctor evaluate your airways, sleep habits, and allergy status. In the meantime, try sleeping with head of bed a bit elevated and try otc nasal strips? Good luck!

COVID 19: Hydrate really well. Are you coughing the phlegm up or is coming from above? A decongestant may help.  For people who had moderate to severe COVID 19, they may have significant sequela for some time. However, if you feel ill with phlegm, you could have developed a secondary infection. Hard to know.

You will not need a prescription but you will have to pay a small amount.

Morning Phlegm: Think of gravity as your friend during the daytime when all the phlegm drains down but when you lay down at night, gravity is not your friend and those sinuses fill up with fluid. Then you wake up and gravity pulls everything down the back of your throat.

Quit smoking!: We all have cilia in our lungs. Think of them as little hairs that sweep junk out of lungs. But when you smoke, they can't work so you might end up spitting phlegm more than in past. Most important thing to do is to quit smoking. There's not a single good reason to smoke. If black phlegm doesn't clear up shortly after quitting, go see your doctor for an evaluation.

Concerned: Concerned yes but worried no. I would make an appointment with her doctor and have her follow up with her doctor. There are things that the doctor will need to rule out.

For instance, are there any of the following associated problems?
