Insect bite: A tick or other insect MAY still be in the area of the bite.  Please see your doctor who can examine and remove if needed.  He/she can also help prevent infection.  Peace and good health.

i had a epidermoid cyst removed via minimal excision plus cellulitis. the area is healing but there is dry peeling skin on wound and around it where bandage was. can i put moisturizer on it or should leave it alone? it itches a little?

Timing: Itching is a sign of healing. Would not put anything on skin till wound is at least 5-7 days old other than gentle cleaning to remove dry skin. Once that time has passed can use skin lotion or Vitamin E but still not directly on wound. Vitamin C 500mg a day, Vitamin D 2000 units per day and Zinc 30mg a day all help wound healing.

Fungus vs allergy.: What you are describing could be a couple of different things--fungal infection vs. Allergic contact dermatitis vs irritant contact dermatitis. In the short term, soak the foot in plain warm water x 5-10 min and then apply plain vaseline for hydration. Apply nothing else (no neosporin or calamine lotion, etc). See a dermatologist for treatment.

: Advantage???? look at these as doing different things. The BP body wash contain chemicals that allow loose skin cells to be removed from the skin surface more than simple washing &amp; thus help uncover deeper areas for treatment. Much of the other gels/creams dig down deeper into layers that still remain plugging pores. The effect of their use differs and can lead to more side effects like burns.

If your dad is mentally incompetent , fragile , then family ( health proxy ) should decide with the advise from medical team.
