I had a epidermoid cyst removed via minimal excision plus cellulitis. the area is healing but there is dry peeling skin on wound and around it where bandage was. can i put moisturizer on it or should leave it alone? it itches a little?

Timing: Itching is a sign of healing. Would not put anything on skin till wound is at least 5-7 days old other than gentle cleaning to remove dry skin. Once that time has passed can use skin lotion or Vitamin E but still not directly on wound. Vitamin C 500mg a day, Vitamin D 2000 units per day and Zinc 30mg a day all help wound healing.
