i brought side sleeper pillow and my neck and shoulder pain has gotten worst. i can't raise my arm or lower it with feeling pain.

Shoulder pain: There are many possible causes of neck and shoulder pain including pinched nerve and rotator cuff injury.  Since this seems to be getting worse so that now your range of motion is limited, you need further in-person evaluation. Try your primary care doc first. If no success, see a PM&amp;R doctor next.  PT or massage may help, but get the right diagnosis first.

aching trap muscle and shoulder pain that goes into neck and head, and down arm.both sides sometimes. could this be muscle,from pillow sleep positions?

Possible, but....: I would  be more concerned about the possibility or cervicsl comprtession neuritis orr nerve root compression. Please consult an orthopedic expert.

right shoulder pain continues to under the armpit. worse at night lying down can't hug pillow like i use to.

Muscle spasms : You may have neck nerve root irritation that makes your muscles going into spasm.  This will make the muscles of the shoulder girdle very tight and especially for spreading of the arm pit.  Please see the family dr. And also a rehabilitation medicine specialist.

upper arm and shoulder pain on left arm. noticed since moved to a different home, differ bed/mattress/pillow. what can i do to prevent this?

Shoulder pain: If it goes away when you are sleeping on your right side then it is probably the new pillow and/or mattress

Neck problem?: Could be a neck problem (possibly displaced disc), causing irritation of the C5 nerve root with a change in your neck position.  C5 nerve root pain does radiate into the shoulder.

Could be?: This may be an atypical presentation for heart problems but it could be.  You age, health, risk factors and other issues may help to know.  If you are female, this makes it even more difficult.  Unexplained pain that is not reproduced by movement of the shoulder, should be checked out quickly.  The same goes forever, if you are experiencing chest pain, dial 911 immediately.  It could save ur life.

See an orthopedist: This can be anything from a muscle strain to a problem with the shoulder joint (which is one of the more complex joints in the body).  You need to be examined by an experienced clinician.

what can cause shoulder pain in front of the clavicle on the left side when sitting having back support? and no pain when standing or laying

Unclear: I'll say that "in front of the clavicle" close to the breastbone is the sternoclavicular joint.

The pectoralis major muscle attaches to the "front" of the clavicle, but i've never seen a strain of that muscle hurt in that location.

Other small ligaments and muscles attach to the clavicle, but i just can't imagine anything that causes pain only when sitting.

i have been having pain in my left side when i take a deep breath that continues all the way up to my shoulder. pain is better laying on right side ?

May be very serious: This can be serious. It could be anything from your spleen, to your lungs, to blood clots or just a pulled muscle. It is best to see your physician soon

i shoveled snow for about 40minutes yesterday, took a flexeral last night from a script i had last spring but i'm still having side, shoulder pain?

Helper, not healer: You would likely be worse off without the Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) (and hopefully an nsaid, if allowed to use them) last night, but you overused the muscles in question, so they will be sore for 2-3 days. Local cold pack, NSAID and additional Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine hcl) doses will help it fade faster. If persists &gt;3-5 days, or gets severe, see your dr / urgent care.
