Can be: If your back problems are not neurological then pilates can be a great way to recondition your back and abdominal muscles to provide the strength needed for your back. It is also good for stretching the muscles and giving the back the upright support it needs. You should be sure you have a licensed instructor and ask your doctor if it is appropriate for you.

Yes, and yes.: Pilates are excellent for conditioning.  They do not, however, replace vigorous cardiovascular exercise for maintanance of cardiovascular health.

: Exercise should be done at a sitting for at least 20 minutes to gain Cardiovascular benefit. But if you absolutely cant then you can split it. Some exercise is better than none.

Well...: Sounds like you have tried most. you need a low impact exercise regimen, so I would try YOGA again. Maybe it would help to get treated for your pain so you can at least do light YOGA exercises.  Best wishes.

Exercise and pregnan: Exercise is appropriate through out pregnancy and needs to be modified for comfort and to prevent injury as pregnancy progresses. Gentle is best!

why is it so difficult to get back into physical activity ex: pilates after a long time of no structured exercise ? it's so much strain and tiring !

Out of shape: If u haven't been active recently w/ daily  exercise it may take some time ( couple of weeks) for your aerobic capacity to improve to the point where it becomes more"easy" for you. Be patient and try to exercise @ least 20-25 min . 3-4 days / wk for the next month. If u can maintain this regimen or even increase the # or duration of your workouts u will find them "easier" .... And more fun!

Yes, of course: This is the 21st century. We strive to make the world a free and just place, for those with periods and the period-less. So, take advantage of modern technology. Test out (at home, if less daring) various kinds of pads and tampons... to see what works best in preventing leaks and accidents, and to see what is good timing for changing pads or tampons while doing sports. Go out and exercise!

i was diagnosed w/ tmd. i used to exercises before but now i stopped cos i get muscle pains from my tmd. will yoga or pilates be good for me?

Probably: Most tmd related symptoms can be attributed to stress related clenching. Myofacial pain is relieved by mouth guards.  Yoga is extremely good for stress relief.  It certainly can't hurt.
