what is the definition or description of: pharynx disorders?

Pharyngeal disorders: Pharyngeal disorders are problems that involve the pharynx which is the food tube comprised of muscle covered with mucosa that goes from the oral cavity to the esophagus.  There is an oropharynx (in the oral cavity), nasopharynx (in the nose), hypopharynx (around the larynx).  It is contiguous and connects to the esophagus inferiorly at the end of the hypopharynx.

i keep getting random itchiness on the front of my neck/throat. what is causing this? is it a sign of a cancer or type of disease? thankyou?

: This is probably from some local irritation and should go away. Apply cortisone cream to the area. It is not a sign of cancer

my sternocleidomastoid as well as scalene and other neck musclesstays flexed for 2-3 seconds after i relax the muscles. also i begin to feel a twitch in my lower lip upon relase of flexing the muscles. is this a sign of muscular disease?

Dystonia? stress? : 2 possibilities come to mind quickly. 1 is mechanically induced muscle spasm which could be postural and/or due to skeletal abnormalities. 2 dystonia (regional) in which mechanisms in the nervous system mis-program muscle relaxation and contraction. This requires neurological assessment.

chest pain, weight up and down, headaches, left arm, leg numbness, eye issues sore throat and more  could  i have thyroid disease? or early signs?

Unlikely!  : The symptoms sound like an anxiety state, but see your doctor for a medical evaluation to be sure!

Important: Sleep related breathing disorders due to upper airway obstruction can occur at any or all of 3 places: the nasal airway, palate and back of the throat, and the tongue base.  The nasal airway is often overlooked by many, however, is just as important as the pharynx.

PCP/ Dermatologist..: 29 y/o Female says, i have what I thought was pimple on the back of my neck but it's been there for several months and shows no sign of going away. Also, it burns/itch? Could be benign Skin tag that gets irritated on and off. But could be other things also. Best to show it to one's PCP/ Dermatologist and get a Diagnosis/Management/Treatment.

See below: There are several joints and intervertebral discs in the neck.  These can wear out over time leading to pain.  Degeneration of the joints or discs can cause neck pain, headaches, and sometimes shoulder pain.  You can also get neck pain from a muscle strain.  In some cases pain in the neck could be related to your heart so be sure to see your physician if your pain does not improve.

Avoid tobacco & etoh: Early warning signs are - lump in the neck., change in the voice, painless growth in the mouth, bringing up blood, swallowing problems, changes in the skin, constant pain in or around the ear when you swallow can be a sign of infection or tumor growth in the throat. This is particularly serious if it is associated with difficulty in swallowing, hoarseness, or a lump in the neck. Check with ENT doc.

You could...: Charcot-marie-tooth disease (cmtd) is a group of disorders passed down through families that affect the nerves outside the brain and spine. These are called the peripheral nerves. While it can cause foot disorders and calf muscle atrophy, any peripheral nerve, including from the neck can be affected. A neurologist would be a good specialist to talk to about this.

i have heavy chest pain, i can't bend my neck, is t a sign of pregnant?

No, but it's a sign!: "heavy chest pain" is a sign to go to the E.R. If one's doctor is not readily available. Chest pain symptoms can be a heart attack. One should not drive himself (it's safer to go by ambulance). If he turns out not to have heart attack symptoms, the E.R. Will also have evaluated for chest problems such as a collapsed lung or a pneumonia. A chest x-ray, ekg, and labs can be done quickly at the E.R.
