No, but it's a sign!: "heavy chest pain" is a sign to go to the E.R. If one's doctor is not readily available. Chest pain symptoms can be a heart attack. One should not drive himself (it's safer to go by ambulance). If he turns out not to have heart attack symptoms, the E.R. Will also have evaluated for chest problems such as a collapsed lung or a pneumonia. A chest x-ray, ekg, and labs can be done quickly at the E.R.
