Pharyngeal disorders: Pharyngeal disorders are problems that involve the pharynx which is the food tube comprised of muscle covered with mucosa that goes from the oral cavity to the esophagus. There is an oropharynx (in the oral cavity), nasopharynx (in the nose), hypopharynx (around the larynx). It is contiguous and connects to the esophagus inferiorly at the end of the hypopharynx.
