Thanks for info: Your girlfriend should see a good internal medicine doctor if she is over 18; if under 18, a pediatrician.  There are more causes than I can list for this combination of symptoms, but the most serious COULD be leukemia (blood cancer) or lymphoma (lymph node cancer).  There are LOTS of non-cancerous diagnoses that are more likely, though.  See a doctor!  Good luck!

Important case: This sounds like an important case.  A normally healthy person with these symptoms may have an abnormal blood and platelet count.  Most doctors would at least obtain a screening blood count.  She should see a doctor.  This should be done soon, like in the next day.

Autoimmunity: Hi! sorry to hear you have so many symptoms.  Autoimmune diseases frequently cause several symptoms, especially in young women.  The issues with fatigue, hair loss, low iga, and petechia are suspicious for itp, lupus, and other autoimmune conditions.  Definitely seek medical attention.

Yes: Aspirin can cause petichiae whether pregnant or not.

can mild petechiae on arms, legs, and torso be caused by an allergic reaction to a new lotion or a new oral supplement with different herbs and vitamins in it? it had a lot of biotin in it. no other symptoms other than some stomach aches?

: You should stop the herbal supplement immediately. If there is any sign of bleeding, go to ER. Lotion for skin can cause contact dermatitis but rarely causes widespread petechiae. Take care.

i have ana 1:320 homogenous speckled pattern, raynauds, dilated nail fold capillaries, tiny petechiae on arms, fatigue, aches, dry mouth, sore glands. i have ibd too. my blood count and crp were fine so was discharged but dermatology think autoimmune?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You likely have an autoimmune disorder.  It would be prudent to see a rheumatologist.

please provide advice on discontinuing hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) after developing petechiae on my arms. i have been taking hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) for 3 months and this just started.

Please see Dr. ASAP: Hydrochlorothiazide can cause petechiae but not often. According to fda of 56, 000 people that had a reaction to hctz, (hydrochlorothiazide) only 96 had petechiae. There are other causes of petechiae, some of which include other meds such as nsaids/aspirin, infections some of which can be serious, other health conditions including inflammation of blood vessels (vasculitis). Need to see your doctor as soon as possible.

i have petechiae on my arms and chest, confirmed by dr. wbc is 5.5 rbc 4.20 platelets 255. does that mean everythings ok?

No: It only means that the work up did not reveal the cause for your petechiae and further work-up versus watchful observation is needed. Would also suggest seeing a dermatologist in trying to figure out the best approach as well as to confirm the petechiae.

Evaluation: Petechiae can be caused by benign causes as well as serious causes.  Simple things such as straining, lifting, crying etc. can result in the breakage of small capillaries resulting in Petechiae .  Medications and herbal supplements can be a cause.  Review the medications and supplements you at taking, if you can not find a reason seek the help of your physician.

have petechiae on upper arms, got full cbc, all was normal, including platelet count. no regular medications. no other symptoms of bleeding or easy bruising. petechiae have not gone away. any cause for concern?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you have gained weight recently, it may be contributing.  It would be prudent to see your doctor who ordered the tests so that s/he may ascertain vascular causes of petechiae.
