If this has been going on for 10 weeks, an in person exam and some basic labs may reveal the problem. Pulsating mass in neck could be a number of things- In person exam vital.

Lymphoma Unlikely : You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor.

Yes, I believe so: Lymph nodes in the neck are usually not palpable unless they are enlarged. So if it is "Large" then it has to be palpable, but we need to know the size and for how long has it  been there? Is it getting bigger? if it is more than one inch in size, it needs to be further evaluated   (?biopsy) to find the cause especially if it is getting bigger.

have had a palpable lymph node in neck for over 10 yrs. us was done 15 years ago and showed permanent benign enlarged lymph node. no follow up recommended. no changes in size, shape. still small. should i be concerned it could have become cancerous?

Timing and results: Timing does not appear right as it sounds that the ultrasound was done before the lymph node becoming palpable, which is not the usual scenario. Also an US might show an enlarged lymph node, no comment is usually made as if temporary vs permanent. If no changes in size what would be the reason for concern?

i've had a palpable 0.5cm anterior cervical lymph node for three months.  when i noticed the node, i had folliculitis in the neck and the spots went away with antibacterial cream. its size fluctuates when i squeeze it a lot. my gp is not concerned?

Any other details?: An enlarged lymph node may just be a benign finding.  It could be due to a simple infection. Any sickness.?
Lymph nodes are important filters of lymph fluid in the body.  Because it is enlarged it is abnormal.Any other areas of enlarged glands. Axilla, neck, groin?
Please get a check up and labs to further find out what is causing it to become enlarged.

See prior biopsy...: Probably related to the same reason the first node was enlarged. Would have to see biopsy of that first node.  You should talk to your doc.
