After gastric bypass: This is also known as an internal hernia, and occurs after surgery on the stomach, typically a gastric bypass.  It occurs in the space between the colon, and the small intestine, and can cause severe pain due to blockage of the blood supply of the small intestine which can twist when herniated through the space. After bypass: This is a hernia that is where the small intestines can rotate through the space created by an ante-colic roux-en-y gastric bypass. Intermittent abdominal is the usual symptom, but it can also present with acute onset of severe unrelenting pain. Diagnosis is difficult, and includes ct scan and diagnostic laparoscopy. All health care DO: All providers, including social workers are required to respect patient confidentiality, just like dentists, physicians, nurses, and pas.  In the case of suspected child abuse for example, it is normall legally required for the provider to alert the authorities (child protection services).  There are other situations that would require alerting authorities such as elder abuse  and death threats.

No, not usually.: They can be separately licensed and work in the capacity of an OT, and then can diagnose.   Usually, they treat based upon the needs of an individual, which follows from the diagnose gleaned elsewhere.
