Anyone know what is a peterson's hernia and what are the symptoms?

After bypass: This is a hernia that is where the small intestines can rotate through the space created by an ante-colic roux-en-y gastric bypass. Intermittent abdominal is the usual symptom, but it can also present with acute onset of severe unrelenting pain. Diagnosis is difficult, and includes ct scan and diagnostic laparoscopy. Hope this helps.

Peterson's hernia: This is an internal hernia that occurs in people that have had a gastric bypass. The small bowel ends up going through a space (created by the gastric bypass) and can get twisted or stuck in that space. Symptoms can be pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting. Requires surgery to fix, but can spontaneously resolve in some mild cases.
