part of the top of my foot is numb from an injury i believe where i put too much weight on it. its been about 3 week. when i rub over the numb area it send tingles all through my foot, but only when i rub it. could it be a pinched nerve in my foot?

: Yes, your symptoms are consistent with a superficial nerve compression from the injury. These symptoms should improve then disappear when the local swelling resolves.

See a neurologist : Neuropathy and neurapraxia comes in many forms.  You also have a history of ablation and ankylosing spondylitis which may also be factors. A good neurological work up would be in your best interest.

my podiatrist popped a large blood blister on my foot 3.5 wk ago. the area is still numb from the procedure and the part she cut to drain is black!

Go back for follow : Up. All you state is they popped a blister, this would not involve anything put puncturing the roof of the blister which would not cause any residual numbness, so I do not believe the numbness is a result of anything the doctor did. (If that's what they did). The black color may be an eschar or scab like lesion which again may be completely normal and will heal over time o r the doc can clean it

Likely nerve: Some possible causes from walking, tight shoes, abnormal foot angulation, trauma, diabetes, etc.  Could be transient and reversible, but may be initial tarsal tunnel syndrome, sural neuropathy and if persists or associated with increasing pain, see your doctorl

See below: This is probably just bruising and swelling on the base of the foot. However, if there was any blood after the injury, i would make sure your tetanus shot was up to date. You could go by your local urgent care clinic for a quick check up to make sure nothing more serious is going on.

Foot pain: Pain and numbness in the foot that is made worse with weight bearing commonly occurs when there is irritation of the s1 nerve root that exits the spine between the lumbar 5 vertebral body and the first sacral segment of the tail bone. There may be weakness when trying to push off on that foot. Especially noticeable when standing on that foot alone. See your neurosurgeon for evaluation.

Concerning: If you are having progressive neurologic issues such as numbness and loss of motion which I am assuming is secondary to weakness, then you need to see a medical provider such as a neurologist as soon as you can. The possible causes are numerous but include problems with your spinal cord to other neurologic diseases such as MS. You do not want to have permanent nerve damage. Good luck
