My big toe has been numb for some time. i'm not diabetic. now the top of my foot up part of my ankle is numb. what would cause this?

See a neurologist : Neuropathy and neurapraxia comes in many forms. You also have a history of ablation and ankylosing spondylitis which may also be factors. A good neurological work up would be in your best interest.
