Concerning: If you are having progressive neurologic issues such as numbness and loss of motion which I am assuming is secondary to weakness, then you need to see a medical provider such as a neurologist as soon as you can. The possible causes are numerous but include problems with your spinal cord to other neurologic diseases such as MS. You do not want to have permanent nerve damage. Good luck

Nerve Conduction: Sounds like you need to have a nerve conduction study performed. Progressive numbness spreading to the other foot can be a sign of a larger disease process. I would advise seeing your PCP or Podiatrist for evaluation.

Physical assessment: Numbness in the feet could be explained by a pinched nerve in the back or somewhere else in the leg. If it has been occurring for months then you should no longer ignore it. Also, if it has spread to the other foot, this is of greater concern. You should definitely see a Dr about this.

Neuropathy: Your story concerns me with persistent numbness and weakness and I think a nerve problem eg from back peripheral such as diabetes or some issue such as multiple sclerosis needs to be considered and excluded fairly smartly. Please see your GP fairly promptly for examination and if the above remain a concern you may need tests and neurology referral
