There doesn't seem: to be a cure or treatment for such a mass on your uvula outside of surgical excision or cauterization, if the mass is small enough. Surgical excision: Sclerosing intraductl papilloma is a benign lesion which developes in milk ducts, but sometimes it may be associated with breast cancer . So if this diagnosis was made by a needle biopsy, it is recommended to have surgical excision to verify presence or lack of presence of assoiated malignancy.

i have a condition i have likened to "geographic tongue". is there any treatment that would help me get my tongue back to normal? this condition is very unsightly and sometimes it can be a cause of physical discomfort in the upper part of my tongue.

Oral surgeon: Although this is a benign condition and many with it have no symptoms, areas of the tongue may be sensitive to certain foods and spices. Special cortisone type creams suitable for mouth use may help. Bathing the tongue in maalox or glyoxide could be tried. Seeing an oral surgeon or going to an oral pathology department at a dental school are other suggestions.

Tongue Tissue Tags: Tissue tags are common on the tongue. Scalloping of the border of the tongue often matches the grooves between the teeth. Unless there is trauma during chewing, no treatment is needed. But if this is a problem a dds may be able to smooth sharp teeth or an oral surgeon sometimes needs to be consulted.
