It's bile: Before gallbladder removal, it stored bile and emptied when u are food. So the bile was mixed in with food. Now the bile is running through ur GI tract even without food hence change in color. It may get better over a yr or so. It is not harmful to u, however.

Stool sample: Change in the color of your stool should be evaluated. Bile gives stool a darker color. However, if you are doing fine and this has been ongoing for a year, you can get an elective appointment with your doc. A stool sample for analysis will help diagnose.

Old fashion rx: Bowel gas like other gasses will rise to the highest point, like bubbles of gas coming up in a pond. If you can elevate your pelvis above your head for an hour or so it may work its way to the exit. Such surgery often slows the normal rhythmic gut movement that expels such gas.

Fat malabsorption.: After we have our gallbladder removed, we begin to have trouble digesting dietary fats - the gallbladder normally stores bile, which helps us to prepare fats for digestion.  So without a bonus release of bile, we will not digest fats properly, which means they end up in the stool, causing that oily stool to which you refer.  This effect is permanent.

See answer: You may have bile acid diarrhea or even fat malabsorption. If your UC is not under control, it'll be harder to take care of the malabsorption. I use cholestyramine to help bind the bile and that works pretty well for my patients.

: It seems non specific with that symptom, you should not worry. Keep observing bowel habit and stool color with a normal, healthy diet for now. Greasy foods can act as a laxative.

Pale stools?: The pale stools are concerning because that implies that bile is not making it into your intestines.  This is most often caused by a stone or sludge in your bile duct.  This can lead to complications, some serious. 
 I would see a surgeon to discuss.

Usually if you do not have symptoms gallstones can be watched.  But in your case you are beginning to show signs of trouble
