Old fashion rx: Bowel gas like other gasses will rise to the highest point, like bubbles of gas coming up in a pond. If you can elevate your pelvis above your head for an hour or so it may work its way to the exit. Such surgery often slows the normal rhythmic gut movement that expels such gas.
