i can't place any sort of pressure on my right wrist. i also struggle to lift any thing with a certain weight.

Wrist: Wrist pain can be due to various causes.  Tendinitis, occult fracture, synovial cyst, carpal tunnel all possible. Given you have had symptoms for three weeks probably time to be seen.

last night i was on my laptop, and my right wrist suddenly felt like i had to pop it and it hurt. it wouldn't pop and was super painful. this morning i woke up and it's the same, and swollen. no discolouration. pulling pain when i bend back or front?

: What you described suggests repetitive motion  injury. Give your hand some rest. You may take an over the counter pain relief, e.g. acetaminophen for pain, no more than 4 g in one day, no alcohol.

my 14 yr old son has a painful bump on his right wrist. the bump is small and visible when he makes a fist. what could it be?

Evaluate: Injury to the wrist may result in these findings. I would suggest an examination and possible image today. Place an ice pack on the wrist and avoid moving the wrist. 
If there is a bruise the swelling may be related and an underlying fracture should be ruled out. Motrin for pain control may be used. Watch for discoloration of the skin, coolness and tingling.

Weather effects: Changes in temperature and barometric pressure can cause increased pain.  These should be temporary and once acclimated they should improve.  If the pain persists be sure to get checked out.  The weather may not be the cause.

Ganglion cyst: Probably a benign ganglion cyst, common with repetitive work.  Essentially a collection  of leaked joint fluid in a thin but tough capsule outside the wrist joint.  Sometimes may go away without treatment, but sometimes needs to be removed surgically if symptoms are interfering with normal activities.

: Vein pain can be related to outside temperatures and muscle strains which should self resolve. Thrombophlebitis, chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins usually present  with symptoms of underlying diseases. If it persists, please see your doctor today as weekend is approaching. Wrist fracture: Allows one to still move their fingers and often the elbow as well. I tell my patient that typically a fractured wrist does not mean dont use the hand at all in fact its a good time to make sure one uses their fingers, puts them through a full rom so stiffness doesn not occur. The same for the elbow and shoulder. Talk to your doctor and if it is ok then use your hand. Youll cope a lot better
