Gut motility: It sounds like you should see a gastroenterologist for your ongoing symptoms. The bowels job is to digest food and absorb nutrients - but it depends on 'good bacteria' to help it do so. You may have some overgrowth of bacteria, or a functional problem with your intestines. There are different remedies depending on the problem. You can try eating different foods to see if they are more digestible.

Your post-procedure symptoms may be due to colonoscopy-related factors: colonic or organ mechanical trauma, post-polypectomy syndrome, abdominal wall bruising from external pressure, etc.; diverticular disease; extra-intestinal problems; ibs; lots more. First step--call asap your colonoscopist ; ask his advice.

hello, i have had what i thought to be gas problems in my lower left side for a little over 3 days now. i have been passing gas. doesn't seem to help?

Intestinal gas??: Have you altered your diet at all in the past several days? There are several foods known to be assoc with a lot of gas production - Boston baked beans, cabbage. If that is the case modify your diet. Activated charcoal pill will adsorb lots of gas and turn stool black. If doesn't help see your doc.

colonoscopy 10hrs ago. now have abdml pain(pretty bad) but really intense in waves. kinda feels like gas but yet to pass any gas or bm is this normal?

Normal vs. Healthy:: Normal means common, zero reliable relationship with healthy &amp; defined by medical industry as average to include the central 96% of common for any variable. What you describe is neither healthy nor common in most cases after colonoscopy. But it all depends on your anatomy/function before exam, what was done during exam &amp; your responses afterwards. Sounds like intestinal distension; yet not moving.

See your doctor: What you describe is unlikely related to your surgery performed 5 months ago. Was there appendicitis or a normal appendix? May need gynecology evaluation too, but start with an exam with your primary care physician. May need blood tests, radiology such as pelvic ultrasound, etc.

A GI issue: Clearly you are not worrying that you are in the throws of a very early miscarriage at this time. GI issues are almost always related to diet. Anyone else in the family who is eating the same food have the same symptoms? Check your diet for foods that cause gas and eliminate them.

i have increased my fiber & water 6 months ago to recommended dose. i always get avg.15-25 g a day plus 2l water. i rarely got this growing up because i wasn't paying attention to fiber and i hated drining water. i'm finding i pass gas now. normal?

: Yes, high fiber diet produces more gas in the GI tract. You should make a food diary in order to track down the foods which exacerbate the symptom then you reduce those foods.

The symptoms you: describe sound consistent with a medical term we call tenesmus.  It's difficult to determine what the cause is with only one day's worth of history.  It could be as simple as constipation, or more complicated like proctitis.
