i had a sudden pain under left rib cage when i cough/move. its my second day of pain. and what could be the cause of it? i hopes its nothing serious.

Stress fracture: It's very possible you have suffered from a insufficiency fracture of the rib. There are a lot of people who suffer ripped fractures from degrees of severity. Has to take a while to heal and that should return to normal

Left side pain: is it there when you press? Did the pain start after coughing? if so may be due to cough.  or may be pleuradynia   viral inflammation  or mycoplasma of lungs, or rarely clot - more common if smoker or on BCP, .Would f/u/ today at urgent care,  MD ( due to concern for clot)

back pain under ribs pain when i move certain way or if i cough i am a roofer and where a belt to hold me to roof could it be pulled musel?

Intercostal Neuralgi: Various possible causes. One of them is intercostal neuralgia. This could occur from irritation of the intercostal nerves that runs underneath each of your ribs. If your belt pushes against them, it may irritate them and cause these symptoms. Also other causes could include pleurisy, if you recently got over a cold. Costochondritis, etc. Go see you pcp to examine you, most treatment are simple

May not need X-ray: I can't say for sure but this may not be a diagnosis made by x-ray. If you have a chronic pain syndrome you should be treated for that. That type of pain is in the soft tissues around the chest and chestwall. You may ask your physician  if this is actually myofascial pain as your treatment plan would be very different.

Depends: Do you have fever? Do you cough up discolored phlegm? Has this been going on &gt; 1 week?  Are you short of breath? Do you have 1 swollen leg?  Recent surgery or fracture? Diabetes? Prolonged travel? If the answer to any of these is "yes", you should see your doctor.

WHERE THE INCISIONS: YOU HAD LAPROSCOPY GOR ENDOMETRIOSIS,
where are your incisions, if you have an incision close to your ribs that could explain the pain.
otherwise my advise talk to your surgeon, they might have an explanation.
otherwise  apply heat pad and take ibuprofen.

Rib pain: Chest pain on taking a deep breath can be from rib cage strain, other injury or inflammation. It can also be caused by pleural(lung lining) or lung inflammation which can occur a week or so after the covid infection develops. If your rib cage is tender, if there's no fever, persistent cough,shortness of breath, these point to rib cage origin of pain which is less serious and should resolve.?see MD

Get seen: You may well have bronchitis. Is there also fever? Can rule out pneumonia. Frequent coughing for a week could actually cause a rib fracture. You need to be evaluated by your physician.

? pulled muscle: You could have pain from a pulled peri coastal muscle from coughing.  The pain could be from esophagitis from reflux.  If it does not respond with tincture of time with antacids and nonsteroidals, you should see your physician.

i  extreme rib pain under my right boob i caughed after taking a dab and i thought maybe thats what caused it is a non-traumatic injury i have  used methamphetamine and i smoke a lot of weed and cigarettes hurts when i cough laugh  stabbing pain?
